Rudyard Kipling, most famously known as the author of The Jungle Book, lived most of his life in Africa, and among his many other books, also wrote Just So Stories - fanciful stories that explain How the Elephant got its Trunk; How the Leopard got its Spots; How the Camel got its Hump; and How the Alphabet was Discovered.

Though not exactly true, they are beautifully imaginative, informative, funny and unpredictable.  In this adaptation, a colorful collection of jungle creatures demonstrate how feelings of greed and curiosity, laziness and pride can affect their daily lives - with surprising results.  And who knows?  Maybe the innocent little elephant did grow its trunk by getting too close to the sharp teeth and firm clasp of the cunning crocodile!
