The Good Character Club is a happy place, presided over by Professor Pickles, who greets everyone with open arms and a simple credo: "Be proud of who you are, and always try to do your best."  But sometimes, even the most basic lessons are the hardest ones to learn.

   It's Max's birthday, and Millie and Monique are planning a surprise party. Everyone is excited, and determined to make it a success.    But along the way, the puppet pals discover the challenges of working together: showing mutual respect, sharing ideas and being responsible.  And there's another wrinkle - Max is not in good spirits, and doesn't seem to appreciate what his friends have done.

   So, it's Professor Pickles to the rescue!

His gentle humor and positive outlook guarantee that Max gets to blow out the candles on his birthday cake, after all!
